PAFT is taking an active role in planning and organizing Plano International Festival. The Festival will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2006 from 10AM to 4PM at Haggard Park, 15th & Ave.H. We proudly announce that Poland will be represented for the first time.

Polish Air-Force man will join us.

Polish artist Dorota Harrington will present her oil paintings, portraits and illustrations

Polish artist Mr. Wiktor Stanik will present his iron artwork.

PAFT is inviting our community to actively participate in the festival and if anyone has Polish folk costumes please let us know, we would like to display them or have few people or children wearing them during the festival. This event will give us a great opportunity to show our very rich heritage, promote our culture and at the same time will be educational for our community and a lot fun for children.

PAFT resumes Polish Language Classes on Saturday, September 30, 2006 .

The classes will take place on Saturdays from 10AM to 12 PM. Please visit our website: www.polamfound.com for classes schedule and more information. Families who are interested having their children to learn Polish can register at the begining of each semester (every two months). Classes will meet at a private residence of our teacher Mrs. Darska until a new location is found. We are working with various government agencies and educational facilities to secure suitable permanent classroom for our children.

If anyone can help us in finding a classroom that can be donated or rented for a low fee we would appreciate it very much. Please contact us at: (214) 662-0556

Polish Picnic in Forth Worth on Lake Benbrook, Sunday, October 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM

Join us to Celebrate Polish Heritage Month. In addition to this occasion we would like to welcome Polish Air-Force men who are on a training with Lockheed Martin.

There are about 50 men, some are going back to Poland at the end of this month and some just came to stay for the next several months.

To show our Polish-Texas hospitality let's bring enough food and drinks to host our military men. There are grills at the lake, just bring your grilling supplies, would be nice if you can bring desert to share, outdoor games, chairs, blankets etc.

RSVP to: kmatlag@juno.com or call Kasia Matlag Poole at: 817 875 0995 let Kasia know if you can give a ride for our pilots as they do not have their own transportation.

Kasia will provide direction to Lake Benbrook and pilots residence addresses.
