Cornerback Ryan Lewis and punter Corey Bojorquez were added via waivers to Buffalo’s roster. A corresponding move to keep the Bills at 53 players was not immediately announced.Lewis is a second-year player who originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals in 2017. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, and his best season came in his senior year. He played in 13 games, making 79 tackles. Lewis has not been on anactive roster, having spent time on Arizona’s practice squad and the Patriots’ practice squad.Last season, the Bills tried to add Lewis off of New England’s practice squad, but the player declined. In order to entice Lewis to stay, the Patriots gave him a raise last season. At the time, he said he wished to remain in New England due to his familiarity with the coaching staff. This season, Lewis appeared in one preseason game, the finale against the New York Giants. He had two tackles in the game.Bojorquez came to New England as an undrafted free agent this offseason. He played collegiately at New Mexico, where he averaged 45.1 yards per punt over his junior and senior seasons. This preseason, he did not attempt a punt in a game.UPDATE (2:28 pm)As many had expected, the Bills released punter Colton Schmidt to make room on the roster for Bojorquez.
